As EKAD ELEKTRİK MALZEMELERİ İNŞAAT OTOMOTİV TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ ("EKAD Elektrik" or the "Company"), we care about the security of your personal data. This privacy notice is provided under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") to inform you about the personal data processed through our website and communication channels.

2. Personal data we process

• Identity and contact: name and surname, e-mail address, phone number if provided
• Customer transaction: company name, subject, message content, quotation and order correspondence
• Transaction security: IP address, date and time when the form is submitted

Please do not include special categories of personal data (such as health data) in the contact form or your e-mails.

3. Purposes of processing

• Receiving, evaluating and answering your information, quotation and service requests
• Carrying out quotation, contract, supply, installation and maintenance processes
• Invoicing and accounting, and fulfilling legal obligations
• Keeping the website and contact form secure and preventing abuse (spam etc.)

4. Collection method and legal grounds

Your personal data is collected partly by automated means through the contact form on our website, e-mail, phone and face-to-face meetings, and is processed on the following legal grounds under Article 5(2) of the KVKK:

• (c) It is directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract (quotations and orders)
• (ç) It is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation of the data controller (tax and commercial legislation)
• (f) It is necessary for the legitimate interests of the Company, provided that your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed (answering requests, website security)

5. Transfers

Limited to the purposes above, your personal data may be transferred to authorised public institutions under legal obligations, to our financial advisor, and to business partners we work with to provide our services.

Our website and corporate e-mail service run on servers of our hosting provider located abroad (Germany). Data you send through the form or by e-mail is therefore stored on these servers in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK.

6. Retention period

Your personal data is kept for as long as required by the purpose of processing and by the retention periods set out in the relevant legislation (e.g. 10 years under the Turkish Commercial Code and Tax Procedure Law), after which it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

7. Your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK

• To learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, to request information about it
• To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with that purpose
• To know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom your data is transferred
• To request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, and deletion or destruction under the conditions of the KVKK, and to request that these actions be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred
• To object to a result against you arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems
• To claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing

You can send your requests regarding your rights, together with information identifying you, by e-mail to info@ekadelektrik.com or in writing to our address above. Your request will be answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
